Where to Stay: Philly Weekend Getaway

The AirBNB in Philly was between University City and West Philadelphia. It was perfectly located to hit the cheesesteaks we wanted to taste test over the weekend. The spot itself was super cute. The building is painted a fun purple color, although we barely used the front door. Honestly, the best part of the AirBNB was that there was a dedicated parking spot in the back, inside a gate.

Where to Stay in Puerto Rico: Hato Rey

For the second part of my Puerto Rico trip, I stayed at a place in Hato Rey with a beautiful rooftop. While I loved the beaches, having a private pool was something I couldn’t pass up!

Flyboarding – Loquillo, PR

I think I was flying around for about 30 minutes; it felt like a really long time, even though it took me forever to stand up straight. He also took tons of photos and videos of me which I received in a few days. The photos were included, which is a great plus and truly earned them the tip I left. If ever I get the chance, I’ll definitely do this again, it was such an exhilarating experience and I felt it in my entire body afterwards. I’m always up for a new water sport!

Lantana Resort – Weston, Barbados

The space had plenty room to hang in. The living room was pretty large, but not compared to the outside living/dining area. There was a full 6-person dining room table on the back porch where a bunch of little birds will stop by & wait for you to drop a bit of bread. The pool was right below our apartment & easily accessible. The only thing (with our side) was that the pool was in the shade all morning, so the water was still a bit cold.

Hotel Essex – Chicago, Illinios

At check in, I was greeted by the lovely smile of Martha who helped me pick my room. (Amber helped me later. Everyone was so nice.) I explained that my flight had been cancelled and that I might be sharing the room with 1 or 2 other people. After offering my enough Fiji water for all of us, Martha informed me that the room with two beds wouldn’t have the view I was looking for; the room overlooking the park would only have 1 bed. Because I was in a total mood & have some fancy friends, I chose the room with the view and couldn’t have been happier. Martha even called up to make sure I was happy with the room. What I loved about the service in this place is that they were always available if I needed them, but never overbearing.

The Luminous Lagoon – Falmouth, Jamaica

We kinda got tricked into going to the Luminous Lagoon in Falmouth, but it was all for the better. Right after Rafting at Martha Brea River, you’re driven to the luminous lagoon where the water magically” lights up when it moves. On this tour, you get to witness the beauty of bioluminescence micro-organisms first hand!

Parasailing w/ @DresselDivers

The parasails were taunting me every time I looked our onto the water. As it lingered on my list of goals, I kept watching people fly by, filling me with enough fomo to check parasailing off my list.

River Rafting in Martha Brae, Jamaica

About a 30 minute ride from Iberostar in Montego Bay, we arrived at a clearing, a shot walk from the rivers edge. We were given life jackets & rum punch ($3 each), then lead to the river. The entire ride was more comfortable than I anticipated.

Review of the @Iberostar Hotel in Jamaica

No lies, the infinity pool sold me. Iberostar’s all inclusive resort in Jamaica had everything I could ask for. From a shuttle for hotel pick up, to welcoming us with flower petals and towels folded in the shape of a kissing ducks, I truly enjoyed everything the resort had to offer.

Summer in Chicago

While it may appear quiet and peaceful at first glance, Chicago is land of the unexpected. My homegirls decided to book a trip to the Chi during Complex weekend & even though we didn’t attend the Complex events, our trip ended up throwing us for multiple loops.
