Where to Stay: Philly Weekend Getaway

The AirBNB in Philly was between University City and West Philadelphia. It was perfectly located to hit the cheesesteaks we wanted to taste test over the weekend. The spot itself was super cute. The building is painted a fun purple color, although we barely used the front door. Honestly, the best part of the AirBNB was that there was a dedicated parking spot in the back, inside a gate.

The Warwick Rittenhouse Hotel – Philadelphia, PA

Spent a night at the Warwick Rittenhouse Hotel and it had the cutest, eclectic decor; a perfect mix of classic and modern. Everywhere you look there are punches of patterns and colors to keep you engaged. The lighting and chrome finishes are perfect — the chandelier in the main entrance is everything. Located in a lively section of Philly, this hotel is a short walk from whatever you might need.

Fabulous Fashion Art Exhibit @PhilaMuseum

Fashion takes on a new life when exhibited as art. The Fabulous Fashion exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art showcases dresses from each decade, organized by style. It’s a brilliant display as you see how the architecture of clothing melds over time.

Here, we have designer Renata Eileena, owner of custom line Reneta Eileena, LLC. Raised in Philadelphia, Renata has always had a love of fashion. Though she noted that Philly has its own unique style, the designer admitted her own style is outside of that, finding inspiration from “literally everywhere,” pulling from art, TV shows, etc. “When you’re an artist, you can get inspired from literally looking out the window,” Renata said. She is also inspired by Christian Louboutin, Yves St Laurent, and Betsey Johnson.
