While regular fried wings are easier to eat, I find BBQ wings easier to make. Honey, BBQ and Lemon are really all you need for this quick recipe. Here’s how I make the tastiest chicken in the easiest, cleanest way possible.

STEP 1
Season your chicken as you usually do; I’m Dominican so I use almost everything including Adobe, Cilantro, Basil, Garlic Power and always 1/2 of one of those orange packets of Sazón.
Try to keep the seasonings/chicken as dry as possible. Place it on wire racks in the oven on 425F. I like to use the wire racks & parchment or wax paper (parchment is better) to avoid mess. I place the parchment paper on cookie sheets, and the wire racks on top of the paper.

STEP 2
Once the wings are a light golden brown, remove from the oven.

STEP 3
Cover in BBQ sauce and mix throughly! I use almost half a bottle because I like my wings super sticky 😉

STEP 4
Place BBQ coated wings back on the wire racks.

STEP 5
Make your glaze! Mis together lemon juice, BBQ sauce and honey. I mix this directly into whatever seasoning dripped off from my chicken — Idk if that’s ok lol. Try at your own risk, but I think it enhances the flavor. IT also saves me another mixing bowl 😉

STEP 6
Glaze your wings in the honey-bbq-lemon mixture over the wings as they rest on the wire cookie racks. Let cook for 10 minutes (until dry & sticky) then flip & coat the other side. Let cook another 10 minutes. If you want them stickier, give it another coat, letting the wings cook another 5 minutes on each side.
