The First 2020 Presidential Debate

In My Opinion: I’m shocked and appalled every time I hear Trump’s speak. He reminds me of every entitled White man I’ve ever met. While the world is fairly aware of the stereotypes assigned to people of color, we rarely address “What White Men Be Like”. We’ve finally encountered the age of identifying “Karen’s” but what about the “Trumps”?

America Don’t Love the Kids

IN MY OPINION: This is one of the most disgusting eras of American history. There used to be some sort of gentleman law — human moral code— where people would respect children. The dream is over. I admit it, my mother came to this country for the purpose of. having her children and giving us a better life. One of the main reasons people come to the United States is for education. Even if you had nothing else… even if you had to scrub floors for the rest of your life, the least you could do was send your children to school. While this might have been a brilliant tactic by the evil minds at ICE, this event probably psychologically traumatized so many people — children, mostly. How does America expect to ply the role of a global leader, when this is what we’re doing to the children of our neighbors?

Slavery is Still VERY Alive

Written by PresidentELLA

It pained me to my core to see grown men being sold for $400 a person. Libya lies on the northern boarder of Africa, so it is the last country some African refugees would have to pass through before they get into Europe. Unfortunately, many of them are being held captive and sold as slaves, instead. Told that they need to “pay of passage” many of them are required to live as slaves in hopes of paying off a debt for their lives. The video here was captured by CNN and broke my heart. In the last few days, the people of Libya have been protesting, but the government claims it would need more support to handle the problem. Now, I sit here wondering what it really takes to end slavery. What is the answer to this?
