You know that feeling when everything that could possibly goes wrong happens exactly how it would if your enemy were writing your life story? New Job: Stay Hungry, Stay Humble
Iâm officially in the 10th year of my professional career, so Iâm not here to play games. Iâm trying to tread carefully, but prove myself at the same time. For the first time in forever, Iâm working with a group of people who only care about one thing: get the job done. As I finished off my first round of meet & greets, I can tell they all have personality â thatâs the best and worst part of my job. As a project manager, my job is make sure things get done. With that said, people have to trust and like me. Iâve gotten used to this fact, so as I start this new job, i want to make sure they respect me; I want them to know that who I am, is a great person all-around. Not only am I someone you can grab coffee with, but someone you can depend on to meet the deadline.

âKnow Your Intentionsâ and more #Wordsof Wisdom from @TylerPerry
I needed these Words of Wisdom from Tyler Perry. I hope they motivate you too on the path towards reaching your dreams.
Of course, Tylerâs journey to success was no easy feat. He was homeless for a while, struggling financially, and his first play was a flop. Yet and still, he KNEW that creating plays and movies was ultimately what he was supposed to be doing. That was his foundation. Knowing that he was meant to do more ultimately kept him going. âWhat you were building had to be strong enough to support the weight of whatever you could dream,â he shared in a graduation speech. That kept him going when he was climbing the ladder to success, and still keeps him going in spite of naysayers and rough times now.

In this IG video, Will talks about how he was once approached by a guy who had dreams of being an actor just like him. Iâm sure that, over his long career, Willâs heard that by a lot of people. I love me some RuPaul. I have ever since I saw him as Connie the Bodega woman in Crooklyn. Beyond drag and music, I always loved the fact that he seemed comfortable being himself regardless of what others may think. And Iâm sure he had a rough time along the way, but he stands tall in who he is. Thatâs why I love these Words of Wisdom from him!

I want to pass along these Words of Wisdom from the one and only LL Cool J! As he was honored at the I Have a Dream Foundation â Los Angelesâs 2014 Dreamer Dinner, the rapper turned TV host encouraged kids to keep working hard towards their goals, even though they may have people around that donât believe in them. He asked them, âHow bad do you want it? How hard are you willing to work for it?â In SPITE of anyone who doesnât understand or believe in you.
