Brunch at @JacobsPickles

Sitting atop a burly biscuit was fried chicken breast, coleslaw, fried green tomatoes, coleslaw and bacon. I ordered the Southern BLT ($18) and was warned it’d be the biggest meal. Not only did I want to taste all the fixings (and the fried chicken) but I wanted to bring some back home to bae since he didn’t tag along.

If you’re looking to be full full, or have leftovers later, Jacob’s will give you what you need. When our orders got to the table, we all sat back and tried to calculate the best angle to take the first bite from. I decided to take a fork & knife to mine 😂

Breakfast at Pannes in Puerto Rico

I ordered the “Popeye’s Scramble” which was basically their version of a Greek Omelete. It’s was actually a pretty big serving for only $8.99. I also has bacon 🥓 & bread 🥖 but I don’t remember if it came with the meal or was separate, sorry 🙁 of course, I had lattes at the beginning and end of my meal — the coffee was great, as expected.

@GarrettPopcorn 🍿- Chicago, Illinois

The oddest thing you have to try in Chicago is popcorn. Apparently there are tons of places you can get it from but the Chicago natives I met swear by Garrett’s. I got my popcorn to-go at the airport, where I got to talking with the woman in line behind me. “Garrett’s is the only popcorn I eat” she told me, and if that’s so, she’s one lucky lady. While you can choose from regular buttered or cheese, I always go for the caramel.

Flo’s Clam Shack – Newport, RI

My mom says Flo’s has been around since she got to Rhode Island — the restaurant history dates back to 1936! Once upon a time, the $17.95 lobster sandwich was only about $10. It might seem pricey, but I’d say it’s definitely worth it. New England’s cold waters force the lobster to fatten up quite nicely, so the hot dog bun they serve you is brimming with lobster meat. I love the the lobster is a bit cold, but the bread is lightly toasted. You’re welcome to add mayo, but I just squeeze a bit of lemon on it and keep it moving. The fresh fries are also surprisingly good — fresh and crunchy!

Japanese Cuisine at @HarlemNikkos122st – Harlem, NY

One of Harlem’s hidden gems is Nikko’s Hibachi off the West Side highway. Providing great variety in food, drinks and setting , this Japanese restaurant is perfect for fun large groups or an even an intimate date night.

Don Pancho’s Restaurant – Bronx, NY

The Bronx is know for its gems & this is definitely one of them. As appropriate, Don Pancho’s is a location that gleams from its purity. The almost limitless menu & sound track make this a perfect place to grab dinner with your girlfriends (or boo) and let loose. Save the intimate conversation for somewhere else; the music is sure to get you moving and the food is sure to satisfy you all night.

Fried Chicken for the Win @PeachesHotHouse Bedstuy 🍗

My fried chicken 🍗 with a side of mac was exactly what I needed after my show with Sound Series at 727. There are two Peaches Restaurants within walking distance in this part of Brooklyn. This spot is really tight on seating but has a much livelier vibe, if you’re trying to keep the party going.
