Denim is one of the absolute best transitional fabrics and this piece from Tory Burch (via RentTheRunway) is no different. As far l creeps in and we start to struggle with the different temperatures throughout the day I find that denim can help solve a bunch of the confusing that transition weather brings with it.

The first thing I notice about denim is always the color — how deep is the blue? I rarely gravitate towards dark denim unless it’s cold out. I loved the way the yellow stitching popped out and gave the skirt character. The length was absolutely perfect for work and happy hour. It was long enough to keep me warm during the day — and cover me while I rode my Citibike to work.
If you’re looking for a new, timeless “piece” I would totally opt for denim because you can wear it all year round & the look totally changes depending what you pair with it. The bottom of the skirt extremely feminine and flirty, while the top was kinda tight and sexy. I really liked how the fit of the skirt hugged my curves and gently let go at the waist.
Are you obsessed with denim? If so, I rented this number on Rent The Runway (Use my link for $30 your next order!), & you should feel free to try it on as well!
Dress to impress,
