I’m tying to use what I have!! I dug back in my closet to see what I own that I can still wear this season. Looking into this season’s trends, the easiest trend for my closet to take on is water florals. Florals can illicit a sense of warmth that may make you think they are more appropriate for the spring or summer, but choosing the right floral, or pairing your florals correctly can help you transition your wardrobe through the seasons.
Florals on a dark background are the simplest to transition without trying too hard. With a jacket over a dress, or a turtle neck underneath it. Also look for florals that are a solid color, as opposed to multiple-colored floral option. Either way, pair it with dark accessories; I threw my light Burberry jacket over this dress, since it’s pretty long and it wasn’t incredibly cold in the office.
This vintage floral & top set number has done well through the years; I found it in my mom’s closet year ago! I freshen it up with make up & accessories. My lip color, “Queen” by 327 Cosmetics was mean to provide a pop of color/life/spirit. My gold pieces from JLANI Jewels go with everything I wear (like my Chanel tote lol), but I really loved the edge the ankh lent to my outfit. The pendant’s gold was super subtle against the florals I was wearing, but an anhk is a powerful statement, even if caught at a glance. I think my fro went well with the ensemble… or maybe it went well with the ankh lol
