I was pleasantly surprised at how at home I felt in Adia Victoria’s sullen, yet beautiful artwork. Her wiki page will tell you that she used writing as a coping mechanism, but her music will tell you more.

The three songs on the Baby Blues EP are mesmerizing. Her “gothic” content has an eery strength behind them as she details the mistakes life is made up of with more pride than remorse. I enjoy Adia’s tone because it feels like: shit happens, and you better deal with it. These songs aren’t complaints, just expressions of emotions (aka art).

Thank you, Adia.
