We didn’t know what to do in San Diego other than go to the zoo, and it’s the best, lamest idea we had. We took the 2 hour ride from Fullerton to the San Diego Zoo, and I got to see the Pacific Ocean for the first time. (I’m newly obsessed with being able to see the world with my very own eyes.) The trip was super relaxing, if you’ve never taken the ride.
On our way into the actual zoo, a kind gentleman offered us his day tickets. If you’re lucky (or ballsy enough to ask someone) you can get a used ticket from someone leaving the park. The tickets are good for the entire day, so it’ll save you about $50! The ticket came with a bus tour included, so we jumped on that. We had gotten to the Zoo a bit late, so this was the fastest (and coolest) way to see the entire park without having to do all the walking.
It was definitely a full day for us. The drive was pretty long, so we were exhausted by the time we got back to Fullerton. I would definitely return. & I would certainly make this a stop if we’re ever on that side of the states with kids. San Diego Zoo was beautiful I hope you get a chance to check it out.
