Brooklyn Street Renamed for Spike Lee’s “Do The Right Thing”

Written by Brittany Shawnté

Film director/actor Spike Lee is known for his work inside and outside of the industry. He has given us good films such asCrooklyn,  School Daze, and Do The Right Thing. Within each movie, he always leaves us with a powerful message.

Spike made history in Brooklyn, NY this week, getting a street in the city renamed in honor of Do The Right Thing! The Urban Daily reports Do The Right Thing Way will only exit on Stuyvesent between Quincy Street and Lexington Avenue right where the movie was filmed.

Big ups for to Spike to be another influential black man making a path for young men who may have the same dream as him.
